IDSA Oregon April 3x10*

The Oregon chapter of the Industrial Designers Society of America is hosting a 3x10 on Friday, April 29th 2016 at 6pm. This is a casual event where 3 professionals speak for 10 minutes followed by a food and drink social hour sponsored by Autodesk Fusion 360. We are pleased to hold the event at the beautiful Design Within Reach store in Portland’s pearl district: 1200 NW Everett Street.

Scott Peterson asks, "Since we are all designers, what makes an industrial designer unique? Does the person, process or tools make the difference?”

Scott worked at Tektronix in the Corporate Research & Development Lab and was Lead Designer of high tech product divisions. Scott Peterson Design, Inc. was established 1986. SPD services included leader of design for corporations with product lines in High End Electronic Measurement, Medical and Consumer Goods. He is co-inventor and co-founder of several companies that set world standards in their markets. Scott has been awarded many of his own design patents and is an active Design Patent Expert Witness. To advocate ID, he is a conference presenter, mentors young designers, and supports IDSA as former Oregon Chapter chair and past member of national committees.
